For the past three years Krishnan M Seshan who is passionate about old Hindi film music, has been organizing musical programmes for his large group of friends and their family members. Beginning from Mini auditorium, the programme is now conducted in bigger halls. Since his motive is not to make profits, Krishnan has been donating part proceeds towards charity and his big group of friends are kind enough to buy donor passes for this noble cause, besides enjoying the music and sharing happiness meeting each other every six months. Luckily, he has also been able to find few sponsors to meet the expenses.
Last Sunday Krish melodies had organized musical programme based on old Hindi film songs ‘ Indradhanush- Saptasuron ke sang’ in association with Geet Sugandh at Zaverben Auditorium , Ghatkoper. The 3 hour musical programme received overwhelming response from enthusiastic music lovers, who appreciated the fine performances by singers Alok Katdhare, Soumya Varma, Yashwant Kulkarni, Ananth Iyer, Lalitha and others on the Orchestra arranged by Nandakumar kerkar and team( kalyanji Anandji fame). Good support was received from anchor Akshada Vichare and sound expert Babu.
Highlight of this programme was the presence of Pinkathon Brand ambassadors Sharmila Munj, Surjit kaur, Suvarna Joshi, Sunita Munde and their other members, who have already established records in long distance running despite their progressing age. With their involvement with this movement and with their presence, they only inspired the audience present in the hall. Mr. Krishnan and his wife felicitated each one of them with a gift in appreciation of their active involvement in maintaining fitness under the leadership of celebrity and Fitness Guru Milind Soman.
During the break Mr. Krishnan and his wife Meenakshi handed over the cheque of Rs. 50,000/- to Mr. Prashant Deshmukh from Sant Gadge Maharaj Trust , which provides accommodation and food to poor cancer patients coming to Mumbai for treatment from different parts of India. Mr. Devjibhai a social worker from Ghatkoper, who provides Food and clothing for needy, was also feliciatated on this occasion. This well organized memorable programme was sponsored by New india Assurance Co Ltd, Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.
