Theatre Of Relevance present The Evolution of a Revolutionary Art Play ‘Samrat Ashok’

On 26th January 1950, India incarnated itself  as a sovereign nation. The whole world saluted this ideology of India. For the first time the people of India got their constitutional rights to be the owner of the country. Indian Constitution assures equality , justice , sovereignty, liberty, secularism and fraternity among the people of nation and is renowned as a biggest Democratic Country.samrat ashok_ group

By handing over all these principles to public, India got liberated and emancipated from the curse of Manusmriti. Emancipating from the oppression of apartheid, exploitation, injustice, cruelty and violence India has entered a new era of humanity.

Samrat Ashok is the story of an emperor becoming a Human and then transforming into an ideal king. Ashoka was the first king who did not allow religion to dominate the administration and practiced secularism as a principle of his governance.

 

To protect and inculcate the Constitutional values Theatre of Relevance artistes  resolute to perform

‘Samrat Ashoka’ written by Dhananjay kumar and directed by Manjul Bhardwaj.

 

Artistes who are going to perform in this play are – Manjul Bhardwaj (as Samrat Ashok), Ashwini Nandedkar, Komal Khamkar, Sayali Pawaskar and Surekha Salunkhe .
