Dunamis will take care of Bhupathi’s entire range of endorsements and public appearances for the next one year, to start with. Bhupati , a former World No. 1 in doubles, scorched a new path, becoming the country’s first Grand Slam winner. He won the mixed doubles title in 1997 along with Japan’s Rika Hiraki in the French Open. He went on to win three more Grand Slam titles and won many laurels for India, including two gold medals in Asian Games.

“Mahesh is the one of the best tennis players India has ever produced. He is a great icon and a role model for the youth of the country,” CEO of Dunamis, Abhishek Misra said. “He has a lot of charisma which is the one thing that all big clients look for in their brand ambassadors,” he added.

Bhupathi also expressed his delight at becoming part of Team Dunamis. “I am excited to sign up with Dunamis. Unlike others, they have a strategy and plan to build on an already strong network which should help athletes monetize in different ways,,” the twelve time Grand Slam winner said.

Abhishek pointed out that the company is moving in the right direction, handpicking champion sportspersons who are also celebrities in their own right. “Mahesh, Abhinav and Sehwag make for a formidable trio to go with Michael Clarke and Chris Gayle who are our international superstars. We will have a full range of top players very soon,” he said.

Bhupathi is also the founder of the International Premier Tennis League that takes places in different countries.

More than anything else, his playing style has been appreciated by almost all the current greats in tennis. In the past, the likes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have also acclaimed him as one of the best doubles players in the world.
