Defending champions Air India scored once in each half to overcome Karnatak Sporting Association 2-0 in a quarter-final match of the 111th RCF-Nadkarni Cup knockout football tournament, organized by RCF Sports Club under the aegis of MDFA, and played at the RCF Colong ground, on Saturday.
Air India called the shots from the start and opened the scoring through Advait Shinde in the 24th minute before seasoned Neil Gaikwad added the second to double their lead in the 79th minute.
Earlier in a Super Division encounter, Ubaid Ansari scored a brace of goals as Young Boys SC got the better of Mumbai Muslims 2-0.
