Air India Youth Team got off to a flying start as they registered a resounding 3-0 win against Serco SC in a Super Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2016-2017, and played at the Mumbai Football Arena, Shahaji Raje Bhosale Kreeda Sankul-BKLP (Andheri Sports Complex) on Monday evening.
Strikers Omkar More and Sunesh Nair scored a goal each in the first half before Elvis Rodrigues netted the third in the second half.
The Air India lads went on the offensive from the outset and had the better of the exchanges throughout the match. They did not take too long to grab the initiative when More scored from a snap effort in the very sixth minute before Nair doubled the lead a minute from the half-time whistle.
Midway through the second period, Air India increased the lead when Rodrigues found the back of the net in the 72nd minute to ensure the full three points for the airmen.
