Mumbai, September 25: ESIC (Employee’s State Insurance Corporation) had things much their own way as they posted a convincing 3-0 win against ICL (Indian Cultural League) ‘B’ in a First Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2016-2017, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Sunday.
Showing good understanding and excellent teamwork, ESIC completely dominated the proceedings and ran away with the full three points.
Striker Merwyn Castelino opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Egypsio Noronha doubled the lead in the 34th minute as ESIC went into the break with a healthy 2-0 lead.
ESIC continued to search for more goals and added the third with Alroy D’Souza firing home in the 73rd minute.
