Many child artistes keep appearing in Bollywood films, but very few of them find lead roles when they turn adults. But, Malvika Raj, who played the role of little Kareena Kapoor in the film ‘kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam’ is now making her debut as lead actress opposite Emraan Hashmi in forthcoming Hindi film ‘Captain Nawab’.
In this film Emraan is playing an Army Officer and the film is based on true story. After finalising Emraan, director Tony D’souza was looking for a fresh face to fit into the requirement of the lead actress and Malvika fitted into his requirement after giving her audition.
With enough of experience of acting during her childhood, there are big expectations from Malvika Raj through this film. It also remains to be seen how her chemistry with Emraan Hashmi does the magic on film lovers. But, director Tony D’souza himself is happy with her screen presence.
