Don Bosco (Borivali) teams put up impressive display while making their under-16 and under-14 semifinals of the Suburban schools football tournament in the Poinsur Gymkhana’s 42nd North Mumbai Krida Mahotsav- 2017, held at Poinsur Gymkhana here today. They thrashed Borivali’s St. Xaviers 3-0 in the under-16 section,while their their junior string downed Goregaon’s Gokuldham 2-0.
Hot favourites St. Francis D’Assisi’ under-16 team defeated Rustomjee international from Dahisar 2-0 to storm into the semifinals However, they had mixed fortunes in the under-14 section. The seniors were beaten by Rustomjee International 3-0, but their junior string brought cheers back into their camp as they put out Swami Vivekanand (Kandivali) 3-0 for a place in the last four.
