A huge response has been received for the Badminton 45 organised, Aditya Birla Capital sponsored 25th G.D. Birla Memorial Masters Inter-Club Badminton Tournament to be played at the Bombay Gymkhana from February 12 to 17, 2018. HDFC Mutual Fund, HDFC Life and IDFC are the co-sponsors of the week-long tournament.
Almost 25 clubs have registered for the Master Inter-Club Team event and over 110 individuals have registered for the Masters Open event.
The Inter-Club tournament will comprise of three events — Combination Doubles 80+, Combination Doubles 90+ and Combination Doubles 100+, for the Elite Cup and Plate titles.
The Masters Open event will consist of the following events, Men’s Singles 45+, Men’s Doubles 45+, Men’s Combination Doubles 80+, Men’s Combination Doubles 100+, Women’s Combination Doubles 75+, Mixed Combination Doubles 80+, Professional Singles and Professional Doubles.
On the final day of tournament, there is a talk show by Padma Bhushan Pullela Gopichand, who will later in the day be involved in some exhibition matches with HS Prannoy.
