Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, who after trying Sajid Khan as director of first two films of ‘Housefull’ series, has now handed over the task of directing the third film of the series i.e. ‘Housefull3’ to his screenplay writers Sajid-Farhad. But, after watching this film, you feel that the first two parts were better. ‘Housefull-3’ is nothing but an act of stupidity in the name of comedy. The film features Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and Lisa Haydon in the lead roles.
The film begins with Batook Patel( Boman Irani) now living in London and posing as father of three young girls Ganga Yamuna & Saraswati , who are actually daughters of Mumbai Don Urja Nagare( Jackie Shroff) , with whom Batook had worked earlier. These three girls fall in love with three energetic men Sandy, Bunty &Teddy, being impressed by their proficiency in their respective fields, i.e. as a Footballer, a rapper and a car racer . But, Batook who has other plans, does not approve them. So, in a filmy style these three eligible bachelors play their game to spoil Batook’s selfish plans. In comes Urja Nagare , after he is released from jail, to meet his daughters .And, finally we see the three heroes succeeding in their plan, to teach a lesson to Batook .
Barring few scenes, which really make you laugh, most of the scenes in the screenplay are foolish. The three leading ladies are made to speak Hindi by the directors, by making word to word translation of English sentences into Hindi. But, as far as acting is concerned, they have very little to do, except for moving around with designer costumes. Akshay Kumar does well to present his character with split personality , as Sandy and Sundi. Riteish and Abhishek have offered good support. Boman Irani is at his best. Others in the cast, are just namesake. Music is not very appealing ; but, the cinematography is good. All in all, ‘Housefull3’ is just an average comedy for those, who love to watch such stupid acts.
