Film & TV Actress Neha Bam

Well established as a character artiste in both Hindi and Marathi films and TV serials, Neha Bam has a strong foundation of Marathi and Hindi theatre. Having been associated with acting field, since 1991, Neha has been performing successfully in TV commercials, Hindi, Marathi & Bhojpuri feature films; besides doing Hindi and Marathi serials simultaneously.

Neha was fortunate to be part of big Hindi film projects like, Gulzar’s ‘HuTuTu’,Mahesh Manjrekar’s ‘Kurukshetra’,  Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Savariaya’, Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Raaz’, Milan Luthria’s ‘The Dirty Picture’ and so on. Among the TV serials, she has been part of Balaji Telefilm’s most of the projects like, ‘Koshish Ek Asha’, ‘Kya Hua tera vaada’, Kya Dil Mein hain’, Kasam Se’ and so an. She has also been part of  few episodes of TV Soaps like ‘Code Red’, ‘Savadhan India’, Crime Petrol’, mythological serial ‘Maharana Pratap’ and others.

While working in Hindi, it is very difficult to manage dates for Marathi projects; but Neha did it to make her family members happy. In Marathi films, she worked in popular films like ‘Bindhast’, ‘Sanai Choughade’, ‘Taptapadi’, ‘Tujhi Majhi Love Story’ and  recently  released action packed film ‘Rege’ directed by Abhijit Panse. She could also find time for performing in three Bhojpuri films. Neha is good at playing emotion filled roles. She is button artiste; who is capable of shifting quickly from one expression to other. No wonder, she has been part of so many projects. Incidentally, she has done about 20 TV commercials and 17 print ads.

When magzmumbai spoke to Neha, she didn’t forget to mention, that there were films, where the first scene of the film, opened with her character.  No wonder, films like ‘The Dirty Picture’ ( Hindi), Rege ( Marathi), became super hits. Was Neha lucky for them ? If so, other film makers may also take  chance, offering the first scene of their films to Neha. “I really don’t know; but, this has happened. However, I consider myself lucky, to find variety, while playing character roles,” she concluded.
