Defending champions Indian FC shrugged off a spirited challenge from KVB Trapich to clinch a close 1-0 win in an absorbing Men’s Open 6th round match of the 17th Kalina Football League 2017, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church grounds, Kalina. Enterprising striker Kalpesh Rane scored the crucial winning goal to secure Indian FC’s victory and take away the full three points.
In the second match, FC Kolovery Z3 and Kalina Rangers shared the spoils as they were locked in a 1-1 draw. John Chakalpadth scored for Kolovery and Melvin Barboza got the lone goal for Randers.
