Riding on striker Maunish Koli’s 10th minute goal, Indigo FC managed to record a hard-fought 1-0 win against Worli SC in an interesting and evenly contested Third Division play-off quarter-final match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Saturday.
In another encounter, Godrej Boys prevailed over a fighting Vision Rescue by a tight 2-1 scoreline after the scores were level at 1-1 at the end of the first half. Striker Pizan Kodia netted both the goals for Godrej Boys while Shreya Santosh scored the lone goal goal for the losing side.
In the third game of the day, Boxers FA got the beter of SOSM by a 1-0 margin with striker Ferdinand F scoring the only goal of the match.
