“Kaabil” presents ‘Eye for an Eye’ intense revenge story

Revenge stories are not new to Bollywood. But, when a young blind man takes the revenge very systematically with ‘Eye for an Eye’ style, the story of the film becomes an intense revenge drama. Rohan ( Hrithik Roshan) and Supriya ( Yami Gautam) are brought together by their counselor to bring some light into their lives filled with darkness. Both get married and live their life cheerfully, earning enough to make each other happy, using their respective skills. Rohan has a friend Zafar ( Suresh menon), who is always there to help the couple , whenever needed.Kaabil poster

But, One day Amit( Rohit Roy) the spoiled son of a Municipal Corporatar Madhavrao (Ronit Roy) rapes Supriya, finding her alone at home, with the help of his friend. When Rohan takes his wife to Police station, both are kidnapped by the goons of  Madhavrao .They are released only after 24 hours, due to which Supriya is unable to prove rape. When Supriya is raped once again by Amit, she commits suicide. Not considering him helpless, Rohan decides to take the revenge and plans his strategies very skillfully, even challenging the corrupt police officers.

The entire film’s screenplay is presented very well. Thanks to Director Sanjay Gupta for  raising the curiosity of the audience every moment, especially in post interval session. However, some of the fight scenes involving Rohan are beyond convincing.  The plus point of this  film is its music by veteran Rajesh Roshan , which is cleverly used to suit in the screenplay. Hrithik Roshan does very well in the lead role, with good support coming from his co star Yami Gautam. Both Rohit Roy and Ronit Roy have also done well through their negative performances. Cinematography by  Sudeep Chatterjee & Ayananka Bose is worth mentioning.

Those who love to watch action filled revenge stories, this film will not let them down.
