Whenever she performs a particular character, she does it with total commitment. In the past, Kangana Ranaut has proved her mettle through films like ‘Fashion’,’ Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and ‘Queen’ pouring in energy into the films. No wonder, she has won 3 national awards, besides some popular awards, for her performance in these films. Now, her latest film ‘Simran’ has been released. And, as expected, she has not let down her admirers. In fact, Kangana has tried her best to add vigour into this film, which has poor script. Surprisingly, she is also part of the writing along with Apurva Asrani.
‘Simran’ has turned out to be a light hearted comedy film, which is directed by Hansal Mehta, who has in the past given films like ‘Shahid’ ‘Aligarh’ , ‘Citylights’ and few others. Though this film begins well, it fails to appeal in the second half, due to poor screenplay. Music by Sachin Jigar is not very impressive and therefore this two hour length film has failed to allure the audience.
Good support comes from other artistes like Soham Shah, Esha Tiwari, Aneesha Joshi and Jason Louder. The only strength of this film is kangana Ranaut and therefore, it will surely appeal kangana fans.
