In order to encourage Experimental theatre, from this year onwards, Mazmumbai has decided to award the Best art performance. And, this year, ‘Anhad Naad- Unheard Sounds of Universe’ has been adjudged as the best Art Performance. The play is an exploration of art, to make the world better. And, the artistes who have displayed this artistic work skillfully , under the direction and concept of Manjul Bharadwaj, are Ashwini Nandedkar, Sayali Prakash Pawaskar, Tushar Rajeshree Tanaji Mhaske,Vaishali Salvi ,Amit Diondyi and TV stars Komal Khamkar( Honar Suun Mi Hya Gharchi’ serial fame) & Yogini Chouk ( ‘Julun Yeti Reshmgathi’ serial fame).

‘Anhad Naad’ has been presented by Manjul Bharadwaj’s The Experimental Theatre Foundation, which has this year completed 23 years of Theatre activism, with the support of like minded people. The group practices the simple philosophy,’Theatre of Relevance”. And, its founder feels, “Theatre is not just art for art’s sake; but, one that caters to human needs and provides itself as a platform for expression.”
So far, the group has performed this play at two different places, i.e Ravindra Natya Mandir & Shivaji Mandir auditorium. Now, their next performance is to be staged at Dr. kashinath Ghanekar Mini Auditorium, Thane at 8.30 pm on sunday 8th November 2015.
