Maharashtra Mens teams did well on the 2nd day of the Veterans National Table Tennis Tournament which is being played at Shiv Chatrapati Sports Complex, Pune. There maximum teams were into semi finals and most of them managed to reach the finals to be played tomorrow at 9.00 am
In the Mens 40+ group Maharashtra A led by Upendra Mulye did well alongwith his team members Rohit Choudhary and Nitin Toshniwal against West Bengal, While in the Mens 50+ Sunil Babras led Maharashtra A alongwith Vivek Alawni and Ajay Kothawale team beat Punjab 3-1 to move into the Finals.
In the Mens 60+ group Prakash Kelkar won both his matches to ensure his team’s place in to finals, after beating well balanced Tamilnadu Team.
The Men’s 65+ group Maharashtra A and B both Teams reached Finals ensuring Gold Medal and Silver Medal for Maharashtra .
