Promoted side Maurya Youngsters FA took off on the right track as they started on a winning note defeating JSW Steel FC 1-0 in a Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Friday evening.
Striker Akash Agarwal netted the decisive winning goal in the 35th minute to seal Maurya’s win and to collect all the three points.
In another match, Naunehal FC got the better of Supreme FC by a close 2-1 margin. Strikers Maviya Ansari and Raees Shaikh were on target for the victors, while Vipul Lad pulled one back for the losing side.
In the third match, Millat FC ‘B’ 0 and Air India Western Region played out a goalless draw.
