Mudit is the 1st and only table tennis player from Mumbai & Maharashtra, to figure in this prestigious Top 10 list of ITTF Junior Circuit standings. He is the 3rd player from India (Soumyajit Ghosh – the current National Champion & Harmeet Desai being the other two) to achieve this position.

“I am very happy to be in top 10. The credit goes to my parents, family members & my school- Dhirubhai Ambani International, for adjusting my schedules to enable me to participate in the tough circuit. I am also thankful to TTFI, for encouraging us to play in ITTF circuits & the present Indian coach Sachin Shetty. I am aware that I have a very long road ahead and have to work a lot harder” said a humble Mudit.

In last 15 months, Mudit has participated in seven ITTF Junior circuit events and has won 11 medals (2 Gold & 9 Bronze). He considers his Gold medal winning feat at El Salvadore Junior & cadet circuit as his best till now. This performance also helped him to Qualify for the ITTF Global Junior Circuit Finals 2014-15 at Paraguay, which features only the Top 16 players from the world.

He has registered very creditable victories over higher ranked players like Melker Nilsson & Filip Karlsson of Sweden and Erick Aviles of El Salvador.

According to his coach Sachin Shetty, “Mudit is a very disciplined and hard working player and has great potential.”
Another big compliment comes from Kamlesh Mehta, National Coach & Jt. Secretary MCDTTA, “Mudit, is a bright student and is always willing to learn new things. He is a very fair fighter on the table and a great team player. We are extremely happy of his achievement. This will encourage more upcoming players.”

Incidentally, two years ago, when Mudit had won the Sub Jr. Boys title at MCF , Borivali Open table tennis Tourney, magzmumbai had predicted that he had a bright future. Today, he has proved it. Our best wishes to Mudit, to rise to No.1 positionin World Jr. ranking.
