Ganapati festival celebrated by different societies and groups in Mumbai have been inviting all the attention of Lord Ganapati devotees in and around Mumbai city. At every place the art directors have tried to design the surroundings, so as to receive appreciation from art lovers.
One such Ganapati idol popularly Known as ‘Naigaon Cha Raja’ at Spring Mill Compound Ganapati Mandal, Naigaon, Dadar East , has also been inviting special attention.
This is the 61st year of this Ganapati Mandal and hence a replica of Shirdi Sai Baba temple has been erected around the 16 feet tall Ganapati idol this year. For the past ten days large gathering of devotees queue up to take darshan of Ganapati besides watching the beautiful decor around, which gives them a feeling that they are at Shirdi.
According to the organisers, 35 people were working for about a month to create this replica. President of the Mandal Mr. Kalidas Kolambkar said that every year they have a theme of decorating replicas of popular temples across Maharashtra.
