Striker Ritesh Sathe showed excellent scoring form to notch up a hat-trick, which powered Malwani SC to a convincing 3-0 win against Jupiter FC in a Second Division match of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League – 2014-15, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Monday.
The Malwani side had to wait for almost an hour to break deadlock when the sprightly striker Sathe struck his and the team’s first goal in the 58th minute. Four minutes later Sathe was again on target to double the lead and then fired in the third goal in the final minute of the 70-minute encounter.
In another match, Sterkem Pharma riding on Pratik Patil’s goal pulled off a narrow 1-0 win against Central Railway Institute, Matunga.
