There are infinite numbers of our childhood memories that bring smile on our face…. And once in our busy day to day schedule, we relive our best experiences of innocence… to make our life lively.
As the child explores , takes risk , dreams and comes out with a new artistic creation , similarly we the artistic performers and practitioners of ‘ Theatre of Relevance ‘ have initiated and inculcated the process of exploring the purpose of our life …the purpose of our existence within ourselves ….!
Self exploration is a never ending process that starts with our birth and gradually results in positive internal change .
Hence, we took a step forward and initiated ‘Theatre of Relevance children explorative laboratory ‘ in which the little geniuses could think , explore, create, dream and Interact artistically… This experiential learning has brought a positive and constructive change in the children’s memory , their existence , family bonding , confidence and behavior.
This was how ‘ Theatre of Relevance – workshop let’s Interact ‘ third phase was organized between 3rd to 5th November 2016 in Seawoods New Mumbai.
We conducted an artistic workshop by the process and principles of Theatre of Relevance philosophy and this evolved each child participant to grow and explore their creative source. In this workshop the subject was the agenda decided by the children themselves. There were many challenges given to the participants of which one was to speak with three unknown persons on the topic. ‘Who Am I ?’. The participants accepted the challenge and experienced an interaction with strangers in the market. Unknown place , unknown persons didn’t affect the children’s creative and risk taking initiative. The picture of routine rut going on in the Seawood’s market suddenly changed into an artistic , curious , enjoyable and interactive environment. Through this Theatre of Relevance process gently and gradually enters in our life and establishes an important space in which all the essentials gets involved and thus becomes an essential part of our life.
A letter is an authentic and effective medium of communication. Thus in this workshop letter writing was inculcated with understanding the importance of real life human communication. Participants realized the difference between electronic and human communication … As the electronic media is insensitive and could not understand the intentions and feelings of a person, in the other way human communication makes us interactive , understanding and helps to build a strong bond between us and the society. Everyday participants used to write two letters , learning and agenda of the next day for the facilitators and expectations and dreams for the parents .
Sharing experiences of home was an everyday process. Interesting answers , interactive sessions and liberating activities inspired participants to perform their own creation on the last day summarizing the experience of workshop. They also mentioned their right of information from parents, for guiding them in their exploration.
