Caricature is an art of drawing or written description of someone that usually makes them look silly, by making part of their appearance or character more noticeable than it really is. We often call them a cartoon , which is usually drawn of Political figues or celebrities in magazines and newspapers.
Nitin Late
Caricature artistes are highly in demand and there is an international association of caricature artistes. Generally, we notice young caricature artistes at exhibitions and big events, at the gate, to establish themselves in this profession. Magzmumbai met one such artiste Nitin Late, at the Goa festival in Mumbai, who was able to draw a caricature of an induividual in just 10 minutes.
When asked which famous person’s caricature he had drawn, he said, he was looking for an opportunity. People generally enjoy watching the caricatures of others, but when it comes to drawing their own carricature, most of the people stay away.
