Vedika, the Oberoi school girl,  set the pool on fire as she bagged golds in 50m back stroke (00:34.50 secs), 50m breast stroke (00:38.20 secs), 50 m free style (00:30.10 secs)  and 100m individual medley (01:14.65 secs)  in the girls under-11 sections. What was most remarkable feature of her record-breaking feats was she pipped India under-11 national champion Sanjiti Shah, of BAF Petit, in all the four events. However, Sanjita, too, had the consolation of upsetting her bid for the five event – the  50m butterfly –  when she beat Vedika in another thrilling finish in record time of 00:32.50 secs. In the process Sanjiti  improved her own last year’s timing of 00:34.41 secs.
