Veera United recovered from a first half 0-1 deficit to overcome Charoter Rukhi Samaj in a well-contested Second Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Thursday afternoon. Suraj Makhwana scored in the 20th minute to give Rukhi Samaj the lead before Veera United fought back and scored twice through Inas Pereira in the 59th minute and Karle Pranav in the 65th minute to snatch a tight win.
Later in the evening, Avjit Banik netted the only goal as Juhu Strikers prevailed over Rudra Football Academy ‘A’ 1-0.
