Air India Colony combined well as a team and put up a fighting display to overcome KVB Franco Sports by a 4-2 margin in an exciting and fast-paced Men’s round-robin league match of the 17th Kalina Football League 2017, organised by the Our Lady of Egypt Church Sports Committee, and played at the Our Lady of Egypt Church grounds, Kalina.

The heroes of AI Colony outfit’s win was strikers Vinod Pandey and Sachin Meder, both striking a brace of goals each to help their team romp to victory and collect the full three points. KVB Franco Sports who put up a good fight managed to score their goals through Lionel Fernandes and Errol Dowling.
Later in another league match, FC Kolovery Z3 got the better of Kalina Village Boys 3-1. Innocent Fernandes, Reldyn Jacinto and Raphael Colaco, all scored a goal apiece to seal Kolovery’s win while Sheldon Sharma got the lone goal for Kalina Village Boys.
In the third game, Egyptian Boys and KVB Trapich shared the honours as they played out a goalless draw.
