Indian culture and traditions always inculcated the values of spirituality through ‘YOG’. Yoga is considered to be the strongest medium to connect thyself to body, mind and soul.
The world renowned philosophy ‘Theatre of Relevance'( TOR) initiated and practiced by Mr. Manjul Bharadwaj (Internationally renowned theatre thinker and philosopher) and his team(Ashwini Nandedkar , Sayali Pawaskar , Komal Khamkar , Tushar Mhaske , Siddhant Salvi , Vinay Mhatre) has been experiencing and experimenting Spiritualism through the medium of Theatre.
Under the processes and principles of this philosophy – Theatre is relevant to the context of the society and owes its responsibility to make the world better & Humane by emancipating human beings, not to Art just for the Art sake and comes out from the ‘limits of entertainment’ to a way of living & empowerment. The TOR Team has taken initiative to revolt against commercializing yoga and establishing new artistic principles of Yoga to connect our self.
To implement this campaign from 4th to 7th December 2016, “Theatre of Relevance” practitioners experimented with different yoga classes in the Local areas and performed the song at 6.30 a.m. ‘Apni Awaz Suno’ from the multilingual play – ‘Anhad Naad’- Unheard Sounds of Universe, written and directed by Manjul Bharadwaj . This resulted in connection & context of our Nature to Nature i.e., soul to the universe, Universe to Soul , Soul to life and inspired the participants to listen to their Unheard which they never thought of. The participants had an enriching smile of solace & goodness and were filled with constructive & positive energy with satisfaction.

Two of the participants curious to implement these processes in colleges and schools where youngsters are aimlessly hauling their life and children are being suppressed under the burden of the unproductive Education system.
The process of TOR got relevant with the remaining 20 participants from which one said that – the young trend setters (“Theatre of Relevance” practitioners ) standing before us are the inspiration , initiating from self will definitely bring a change on a larger scale.
All in all , Theatre of Relevance philosophy perfectly determines the content that theatre is the medium of constructive change and we have done it.!
