Recently, Manjul Bharadwaj had staged his play ‘Ched Chad Kyon ?’ which was written and directed by him; under the auspices of ‘Theatre of Relevance’ at M.P.A.S.C College, Dombala, Panvel. The intention of staging this play in a college, was a part of a campaign against eve teasing and sexual violence, so as to make colleges safety zone for girls and boys.

This play which was facilitated by Ashwini Nandedkar (International performer) Sayali Pawaskar (International performer) & Komal Khamkar (TOR Practitioner ), received overwhelming response. But, what was more surprising, was that the Police department not only appreciated this timely subject; but also officially wrote a note to college authorities, to request the group, to stage this play in other colleges in Maharashtra.
Overwhelmed by this response from Police Department, Manjul Bharadwaj, while speaking to magzmumbai, reacted, “ This is the biggest compliment for our team and we are prepared to stage this play, at different colleges, if the colleges are prepared to welcome this idea.”
By the way, Manjul Bhardwaj will also facilitate “Theatre of Relevance” workshop along with Team of TOR practitioners in Sindhudurg (Maharashtra) from 8-18 Feb 2016 . In this 11 days “Theatre of Relevance” residency local youth and farmers will prepare a play on “Farmers suicide and challenges of Agriculture in modern India”.
