And, Mr. Mayekar has done justice to his editing job, which was evident from the first look of the film, released recently. Having worked with well known film makers like Basu Chetterjee, Raj Kumar Santoshi and others, he is certainly a master in editing. Magzmumbai met Mr. V.N.Mayekar during the release of first look of this film. He was more than happy to share his experiences in this industry. “Adapting the new editing skills with the changing time was more challenging; but I learned the techniques on Computer, as I had to survive in this industry,” he said. When all those editing experts said good bye to their job, after editing began on computers; Mr. Mayekar worked hard to make his services available to the film industry. “There are some advantages, with the new technology, as you get the choice of showing 2- 3 scenes differently edited by you, to the director. If you are provided with more content, it becomes easier to select the scenes for editing,” says Mr. Mayekar.
