Ssprint a workshop on Positive Physiotherapy was held at Prabodhankar Thackeray Kreeda Sankul , Vile Parle in association with Sportsnasha. Many Sports Physios , sports trainers and sportspersons attended this workshop, which enabled them to understand various sports injuries suffered during play. More emphasis of the workshop was on the prevention of injuries.

Dr. Yuvraj Singh , well known Physiotherapist along with Dr. Pradnya explained the participants about various injuries suffered by the sportspersons and explained the rehab procedure. In the three hour long workshop Dr. Yuvraj Singh explained the various factors responsible for injuries and explained the latest procedures available for rehab.
However, Dr. Yuvraj emphasized more on prevention of injuries and suggested how important it is to do proper warm ups, strength training, stretching before the competition. He also explained as to why minimum 8 hours continuous sleep was important before the competition. “No mobile phones after 10 pm and avoid caffine in the evening ,” he added.

What Dr. Yuvraj suggested , has been observed in our new World badminton Champion PV Sindu. Her coach worked on strengthening her body mass. But, more than that it is to be appreciated that Sindhu had stopped using mobile phone for the last couple of months. Can our other sportspersons from India take a lesson from her? Mr. Arwind Prabhu CEO of Prabodhankar Thackeray Kreeda Sankul praised the efforts taken by the team of Dr. Yuvraj Singh and explained how important was the role of physiotherapist today to enhance the performance of the sportsperson. He also thanked the initiative taken by Sportsnasha team for organizing this workshop. Prof. Rajesh Deo and Shirish Deshpande of Sportnasha were personally present to make the arrangements of this workshop.
