The 13th South Asian Championships will be held in Kathmandu-Pokhara Nepal from 1st to 10th December and Kho-Kho tournament will be held in Kathmandu from 1st to 4th December. On behalf of the Kho-Kho Federation of India, some important functionaries and office bearers and the umpires will play the leading role for the tournament.
Over the past year, various Kho-Kho trainers from India have gone to different countries and provided proper training and guidance. As per the press release from
Publicity Secretary, Maharashtra Kho-Kho Association Mr. Bal Toraskar, in this competition, Chandrajit Jadhav, Trustee of the Maharashtra Kho-Kho Association and the Joint Secretary of the Indian Kho-Kho Federation will be a jury of three appeals officers. Nepal and Bangladesh representative will work together with him. Prashant Patankar will play the role of referee in-charge in this tournament. Jagdish Nanjakar and Gandhali Palande will be seen as the umpires.
The hosts Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have participated in the tournament. India is the leading contender for the title.
The hosts Nepal and Bangladesh will have to fight hard to be the runner. Even so, Sri Lanka will not be underestimated. The Pakistan team could not participate in the tournament due to some technical reasons but some of their office bearers have been in Kathmandu.
