Renowned Marathi fim actress Nisha Parulekar Bangera is the only celebrity candidate from the film industry, who will be contesting the much talked about BMC elections, scheduled to be held on 15th January 2026. Nisha will be contesting on BJP ticket from Ward no. 25, Kndivali ( East), Mumbai.
Nisha who has done her graduation in Electronics Engineering, made her debut through Marathi film ‘Chasme Bahaddar’ in the year 2006, has performed in more than a dozen of films in lead roles, till the year 2016. In the year 2017 Nisha entered active politics and joined Bharatiya Janata Party. She contested from Kandivali ( East), but lost narrowly by a margin of around 400 votes. Thereafter, Nisha worked hard in this constituency and was instrumental in providing amenities to the residents of this area, with the help of her party MLA and M.P. from this area.
Looking at her dedication to selfless service, Nisha has been given ticket once again to contest the election from this constituency. She will take the challenge from Yogesh Bhoir of SS-UBT in this main contest. Speaking to magzmumbai during her campaign at the biggest Evershine Millennium Paradise complex, she said that her work in this constituency should be the key to her success this time.
