Model Vikram Sakhalkar has turned a Bollywood actor now. The handsome youngster is playing a business tycoon,in Madur Bhandarkar’s forthcoming Bollywood film ‘Calendar Girls’. Whiile speaking about his role, Vikram told media, “I’m thankful to Mr. Bhandarkar, for believing in me and giving me an opportunity to prove myself.”

Till date, Vikram Sakhalkar has done over than 50 commercials and more than 200 print campaigns, for many leading brands.
About his character, He reveals , “I play a business tycoon in the movie. I took a leap of faith when I first walked on to the sets of the movie. As an outsider, I had no clue of how films are made. Mr. Madhur made me feel very comfortable and in a short span of time, I learnt a lot from him. He is brilliant when he is directing and gives a lot of freedom to his actors to perform. The energy and aura he creates on set is very positive. I had a great time. I am thankful that I got an opportunity to work with such an experienced director for my first film.”
Born in Mumbai, Vikram studied at Arya Vidya Mandir in Juhu and moved to US. Speaking about his shifting to US, he added, “My family shifted to the United States of America and hence I studied college there.”
When asked, how he got into Entertainment Industry, Vikram said, “I came back from US and was trying to figure out what was best for me, and then one of my friends asked me if I would model for his brand. That moment, I decided to get into this field as it was always at the back of my mind that I wanted to be an actor.”
“It took me 7 years until I cracked a movie role.” He concluded. Although, during this interval he groomed himself, doing an acting course from Barry John acting Studio.
