Sangeeta Ahir, who produced bollywood films like ‘Wah ! Life Ho Toh Aisi’ , ‘Apne’, ‘Singh Saab The Great’ and ‘Guddu Rangeela’, is now all set to release her two films, one after the other. The first one, is much talked about Bollywood film ‘Calendar Girls’ directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, on 25th September, followed by her debut Marathi production ,’Dagadi Chaawl’, which is to be released on 2nd October 2015.

Her first film, ‘Calendar Girls’ focuses on five girls, from different regions of India, who have been selected, to pose for the country’s most prestigious annual calendar, which is a joint effort between a business tycoon and his renowned photographer friend. Suhel Seth and Rohit Roy will be playing significant roles, while the five Calendar Girls , making their debut, are played by Akanksha Puri, Avani Modi, Kyra Dutt, Ruhi Singh & Satarupa Pyne . Her other film, is a Marathi film ‘Dagadi Chaawl’, set on the backdrop of this famous place, ‘Dagadi Chaawl’ in Central Mumbai, known for gang wars, during 90s.
In ‘Dagadi Chaawl’ the role of gangster turned politician popularly known as Daddy, is to be played by Bollywood actor Makarand Deshpande. Since, it is a love story, linked with Dagadi Chaawl, the young lovers are played by prominent Marathi artistes Ankush Choudhary and Pooja Sawant. The first look of this film was released recently and it has received a good response. And therefore, Sangeeta Ahir is looked upon as the dynamic producer of feature films, with new subjects.
