‘Article 15’ deals with a thought provoking and hard hitting subject

Some Hindi films are not very keen on  showing their box office collections. The main aim of such film makers  is to create awareness in the society about the social issues. Latest released Hindi film ‘Article 15’ falls in this category.  perhaps, it  believes in ‘word of mouth’ publicity. Produced and directed by Anubhav Sinha who had earlier directed films like ‘Tum Bin’ 1 & 2, ‘Tathastu,’ Dus’,’Ra One’, ‘Mulk’ and others has very thoughtfully chosen a storyline based on  the socio-political situation of the country, post independence time drawing inferences from true-life events which were researched over the last 6 months.article 15 poster

Actually, the film is based on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex or place of birth.  The story of this film is not based  on one specific event, but  is inspired by multiple true life events .

A very challenging subject, it is an investigative drama where unlike other films, the audience too is an accused party. So, those who love to watch realistic films, ‘Article 15’ should be the right  choice for them. Starring Ayushmann Khurana in the lead with other talented artistes Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra,  Manoj Pahwa the film offers good performances from all of them. According to majority of the people who saw this film , Ayushmann Khurana has done his best  in the role of a committed Police officer.
