Director Sharique Minhaj is dedicating his upcoming feature film “Delhi Bus” to the Delhi gang rape victim Nirbhaya. The film captures the monstrous incident of December 2012 & raised questions about women safety in the country. The launch of the movie’s trailer saw the presence of Director Sharique Minhaj, Creative Director & Screen play Dialogue Dr S. K. Daas. Also present were actors Divya Singh, Aanjjan Srivastav, Neelima Azeem, Sanjay Singh & Sunil Pal.
In fact the plot of the film is heavy inspired by the 1000 page charge sheet which was filed in the Saket fast track court detailing the roles of the six arrested accused. The film has come on the sixth death anniversary of Nirbhaya, who lost her life after brutal gang rape in a moving Delhi Bus.
Director of the film, Sharique Minhaj said “Atrocities against women is one of the major topics of discussion in the country today, so we thought of making that can make a difference to the society, highlighting the problems in an artistic manner. We want to dedicate it to brave heart Nirbhaya who fought for her life and dignity. We are paying a tribute to her with the film”. Producer Vipul Shah said “we are proud to keep the issue on women safety alive and reach out to people through our story and we sure it will make a difference in our society.’
Vipul Shah Productions presentation Delhi Bus is directed by Sharique Minhaj and is produced by Tariq Khan. It’s being co-produced by Munto Shah and the Creative Director is S.K Das while screenplay and dialogues are by Amit Gupta and S.K Das. Music is composed by Ashfaq Haque and Aarv and DOP is Jahangir Mulla. It’s editor is Sunil Yadav and line producer is Shahid Khan.
