Renowned Bollywood and International film actor Irrfan Khan passed away today. He was 54. For the past two years Irrfan had fought with cancer and was treated in London last year. After his return, he completed shooting of his film ‘Angrezi Medium’ like a committed actor.

Besides being a finest actor having won several popular awards, including National award, he was also a social activist and a good cricketer during his college days. Irrfan was conferred with ‘Padma Shri’ award in the year 2011. According to his friends , he was a self made man and struggled a lot before beginning his career in film industry. He studied his acting from NSD and made his debut in Hindi with the film ‘Salaam Bombay’ in the year 1988.
Irrfan will always be remembered for his unforgettable roles in TV serial ‘Chandrakanta’ and films like ‘Piku’. Life in a Metro’, Paansingh Tomar, ‘The Lunch Box’, ‘Hyder’, ‘Hindi medium’ ‘The namesake’,’ The Amazing Spiderman’, ‘Life of Pi’, & ‘The Jurassic World.’ Even with his brief special appearance, he made his presence felt on the screen. With his sad demise, the film industry has lost a distinguished actor. Our deep condolences to his family members.
