After 2007 film ‘Welcome’, here comes the sequel of this film ‘Welcome Back’. This time, producer Firoze Nadiadwala and director Anees Bazmee have shot this film at new locations in UAE and the highlight of this film is that this is the first Hindi film, to have shot inside the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. 
However, in the later scenes, you can clearly make out the replica of this palace. In this sequel, you find new additions in the form of Naseeruddin Shah playing the big Don ‘Wanted Bhai’, besides John Abraham playing the tough looking step son of Dr.Ghungroo,( Paresh Rawal) ; and Shruti Hasan playing the step sister of Uday Shetty ( Nana Patekar) now emerging in this sequel, through his father’s third wife. Ankita Shrivastava makes her confident debut in this film, as a suitable replacement for Mallika Sherawat, with Dimple Kapadia playing her mother, involved in cheating cases.
So, with this new participants in their company, versatile actors, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Supriya karnik, have managed to generate laughter, in some of the scenes; though few scenes have become predictable, going on the lines of its original version . In this film, Anil kapoor , Nana Patekar , Paresh Rawal, , Naseeruddin Shah, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia have maintained their form, to generate spontaneous laughter on few occasions, Shruti Hasan has been exposed, with her poor dialogue delivery, though she looks good. After facing a big setback in his acting career, after his alleged involvement in a rape case, actor Shiney Ahuja is back, through a cameo role, in this film. But, he has failed to appeal, in presence of the stalwarts around. Besides good music, the film has also scored marks, on account of wonderful cinematography by Kabir Lal.
All in all, ‘Welcome Back’ is an average entertainer. If you leave your brains aside, while watching the happenings among the characters mentioned above and have enjoyed the 2007 film ‘Welcome’ you can take a chance, to watch this film.
