Alfresco SC and Seasiders SC worked hard to emerge victors from their respective Third Division encounters of the MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) League 2015-2016 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel on Wednesday.
Alfresco riding on goals from Shazaan Khan and Nikhil Patel managed to overcome Mumbai FC Colts by a close 2-1margin in a closely contested match. Ankit Saxena netted the goal for the losing side.
Seasiders recorded an identical 2-1 win against a spirited Magic Bus Under-19 who played with plenty of determination, but finished on the losing side. Abhishek Jadhav and Julien Sequeira found the target for Seasiders, while Magic Bus youngsters pulled one back through Rohit Shinde’s efforts.
