BWFA Soccer League begins on Sunday

A total of 27 teams will be seen in action during the 15th Bandra West Football League 2016, organised by the BWFA (Bandra West Football Association), sponsored by Baba Siddique and which is scheduled to commence at the Dr. Norman Lewis Supari Talao municipal grounds, from Sunday, June 26, 2016.

In the First Division league a total of 11 clubs will fight it out to become champions.

The 16 Premier Division teams have been split into two groups.  Millwall FC, Carmelites Crusaders, Sporting Sensation, Young XI, Carmelites SC, M.W. Strikers, Somlands SC and Athletico Bandra have been clubbed in Group-A, while Group-B comprises of Chimbai SC, Sea View SC, Friends SC, K.W. Stars, A.K. The tournament is restricted only to players, who are bonafide residents of Bandra West. The BWFA would simultaneously conduct a boys’ league, veterans’ league and women, which would be an open tournament. All the three events will commence from the second week of July.
