Bombay FC snatched a second half winner to record a close 1-0 win against Goregaon SC in a First Division match of the MDFA League 2017-2018 and played at the St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel on Friday. Striker Charles Fernandes scored crucial winning goal in the 55th minute to help Bombay FC pocket all the three points.
Meanwhile, in another match, Veniza Virar FC scored a 2-0 win against Franco Sports FC. Nilesh Chavan and Suraj Swail netted a goal each to seal the Virar outfits win.
Earlier in a Second Division encounter, ICL Under-19 had a good outing as they blanked Datta Krida Mandal 2-0. Aaryan Bhandari and Alfred Palan were bang on target with a goal each for the victors.
