Nishad Govindan struck the lone winner as Sahayadri Krida Mandal pulled off a narrow 1-0 win against Mumbai United in a First Division match of the MDFA Leagues 2017-2018, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. Govindan netted the crucial goal in the 20th minute of the game which secured all the three points for Sahayadri KM.
Earlier, Saurav Nikam notched up a fine hat-trick to power Milan Football Academy to a facile 4-0 win against Mumbai United FC in a Second Division encounter. After Nikam scored the opening three goals, Ateeque Ansari scored the fourth to complete the win.
