Hat-trick for Pratik and his Juhu Heroes


 

Juhu Heroes thrashed Mulund Blasters by nine wickets for their third win in a row in the 8-team  SAI-Mumbai Masters T-20 League, powered by- Paradigm Reality, at the Police Gymkhana’s floodlit ground here last night.  And their opener Pratik Patil showed remarkable consistency with scores of 102,  96 not out and 67 not out in his three outings so far to earn his third man-of-the-match award. Batting first, Mulund Blasters, but for Anuj Mathur’s 53, failed to force the pace and ended with 133 for two in 18 overs as the tie was reduced by two overs for delayed start.

In reply, Juhu Heroes maintained a steady run-rate to achieve their target. Pratik, who had earlier hit soaring sixes in abundance, played rather sedate unbeaten innings of 67 with 11 fours..

 

In the other tie, Santacruz Crackers, thanks to tight bowling Amey Kothavle (4/22), beat Shivaji Park Superstars by 10 runs. Replying to Santacruz Crackers total of 147 for five, Shivaji Park outfit were 99 for six in 13.4 overs. But spinner Amey Kothavle’s (4/22) tight spell at this stage left them short by 10 runs in the end.
