Pune District scored a hard-fought 1-0 win against Nagpur District in a semi-final match of the WIFA-Maharashtra State Inter-District Sub-junior boys’ football championship, organised by the Palghar Dhanau Taluka Sports Association on Saturday.
Striker Aryan Salwe struck the all-important winning goal to secure Pune’s passage to the title round.
Pune will take on Mumbai District in Sunday’s final.
