Udaya Sports Club rallied to hold Jawahar Young Boys SC to a 1-1 draw in a first round league match of 22nd Late Shri Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football Tournament 2017-18, organised by the Karnatak Sporting Association and played at the KSA ground, Cross Maidan.
In evenly balanced encounter, Udaya against the run of play took the lead when Tanishq Shetty found the net midway through the first half. But Udaya fought on gamely and managed to score the equaliser through Harish Kundapura.
In another match which also finished in stalemate, Kanara Bros SC and Shree Krishna SC were in engaged in a tame goalless draw.
Results: Kanara Bros 0 drew with Shree Krishna SC 0.
Jawahar Young Boys SC 1 (Tanishq Shetty) drew with Udaya SC 1 (Harish Kundapura).
