7-year-old Taarini Suri bags Inter School U-10 Badminton title

For a girl of Seven, even the racket she holds looks bigger than her, yet Taarini Suri, displayed amazing talent beyond her age, as she won the girls under-10 title in the 4th Inter-School Badminton tournament, hosted by Jolly Gymkhana here on Sunday.

Little Taarini from J.B.Petit School, Mumbai, is being coached at the Padukone Badminton Academy at MIG CC (Bandra) by Jitesh Padukone. She defeated Sehar Menon (three years senior to her) 21-17, 21-17.

It was Taarini’s first ever taste in competitive badminton. She is the youngest ever player, to be inducted in the Padukone Academy. Will she follow the footstpes of Saina Nehwal, in years to come? It remains to be seen. But, looking at her passion for this game, at this little age, she is certainly a bright prospect in the game of Badminton.
