Daniel Fernandes and Melvin Barboza, both scored hat-tricks each, which powered J.M.J. Sports Club to a thumping 9-0 win against BEST Arts & Sports Club in a lop-sided Second Division match of the MDFA Leagues 2017-2018, played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel. Besides the efforts of Fernandes and Barboza, the other who made contributions towards the big win was Killinger Raunak, Christopher Sequeira and Ankit Chavan, all scoring a goal each to complete the winning tally.
In another match of the same division, Air India Western Region riding on Sumeet Kuvekar’s lone strike got the better of Utkarsh Mandal by a close 1-0 margin.
