Citi Bank and ICICI bank will lock horns in the Plate Group final of the 63rd Sir Benegal Rama Rau RBI Shield Cricket Tournament at the PJ Hindu Gymkhana on Wednesday.
In a semi-final played on Monday, CitiBank scored an emphatic seven wicket win against HDFC Bank.
The star performers for the winner were Rahul Soni who scored an unbeaten 60 runs and All-rounder Sagar Chemburkar 2 for 27 and 35 runs.
In another semi-final at the Oval Maidan, ICICI Bank off-spinner Aniket Kshirsagar played havoc on the Deutsche Bank batters taking 6 for 6 in his quota of four overs. Needing 45 to win, ICICI won by nine wickets.
Brief Scores: HDFC Bank 135 for 8 in 20 overs (Yash Chajjar 34, Sarthak Kolkamkar 32, Alok Shastri 2-18, Sagar Chemburkar 2-27) lost to CitiBank 141 for 3 in 17.5 overs (Rahul Soni 60 not out, Sagar Chemburkar 35) by 7 wickets.
Deutsche Bank 44 in 12.2 overs (Aniket Kshirsagar 6 for 6) lost to ICICI Bank 47 for 1 in 6.2 overs (Rohan Kalbhor 28 not out) by 9 wickets.
