Ruhaan Bade displayed exceptional resilience as he bounced back from a first-set loss to defeat Malhaar Shimpi 21-23, 21-18, 21-16 in a thrilling Boys’ Under-11 Round of 32 match at the CCI-GMBA Yonex Sunrise District Badminton Championship 2025, which began on Monday at the CCI badminton courts.
In another tightly contested Boys’ U-11 clash, Kiaan Gupta held off a spirited challenge from Vivaan Goyal to clinch a 21-19, 22-20 victory and book his place in the Round of 16.
Meanwhile, in the Boys’ Under-15 category, Sahaj Kadam delivered a commanding performance to defeat Shaurya Kulkarni in straight sets, 21-14, 21-11, securing his spot in the Round of 16.
