Teenager Yuvraj Wadhwani defeated Kunal Singh 11-8, 11-6, 11-8 in a first round match.
While Ayaan underlined his credentials, 19-year-old Yuvraj Wadhwani caught the eye with a composed 11–8, 11–6, 11–8 victory over Kunal Singh to book his place in the second round.

Mohd Anas got the better of Abhay Menon 11–5, 11–8, 11–3 and Sharan Pbi enjoyed a comfortable outing against Gideon Cyrus, winning 11–0, 11–5, 11–0.
